Albany, Georgia. Herbert Mansfield, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Mansfield of Pineland Plantation, died last night at the Phoebe Putney Hospital after about a weeks illness. Herbert was brought to the hospital yesterday morning for treatment. He was a very happy, sweet child and was loved by all who knew him. News of his death brought sorrow to a wide circle of friends. He attended school in Newton and was in the fourth grade. The funeral party left the Albany Undertaking Company's place at 1:00 PM for Sale City, where the service was conducted in the Baptist Church. The Rev J. T. Rigsby, pastor, was in charge. Besides his parents, Herbert is survived by three sisters, Carolyn, Dorothy and Peggy; two brothers, Martin and Fred; his grandparents, Mr. an Mrs. Morgan Mansfield of Pineland and Mr. and Mrs. J. L Blount of Baconton. An uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mansfield, live in Albany.
