Camilla, Georgia. Friends throughout the county were saddened by the death of Alex Mansfield, former resident of Sale City, at an early hour Wednesday, 9 Oct 1946, morning at Battey Hospital in Rome. Mr. Mansfield's death followed an illness of two and a half years. Funeral services took place Thursday, 10 Oct 1946, at 3:00 PM at Sale City Baptist church. Interment followed in the family lot in the Sale City cemetery. Mr. Mansfield is the son of Mr. Morgan Mansfield of Pineland Plantation of Newton. He is survived by his wife and two children, Gloria and Jack Mansfield of Waycross, his father, and two sisters, Mrs. E. E. Rackley of Camilla and Mrs. R. L. Bridges of Albany.
