Obituary of Carey Burnett Sr. 
as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 10 Mar 1943.  


Mr. Carey Burnett, 34, died yesterday in North Hollywood, Cal.  At the time of his 
death he was working in the Vega Aircraft Corporation plant, Burbank Cal.  he had been 
away from Albany for about four months.  Surviving Mr. Burnett are his wife, his 
mother; Mrs. H. W. Burnett of Sale City;  one daughter, Shirley; four brothers, Capt. M. 
Burnett of the Albany Police Department; Silas Burnett of Calhoun County, Ga., Douglas 
Burnett of Tampa, Fl., Turner Burnett of Mitchell County; a sister, Mrs. W. H. Peacock 
of Perry, Fl.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Albany Undertaking 
Company.
