Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services will be held this morning, 8 Feb 1946, at 11:00 AM for Mrs. H. A. Shiver who died at her home here Wednesday, 6 Feb 1946, at 10:30 AM. The services will be conducted at the residence by Rev S. H. Bennett, pastor of the Camilla Baptist church, and Rev N. H. Williams, retired Methodist minister. Internment will follow at the Mt. Zion cemetery. Mrs. Shiver had been in ill health for several years and had been confined to her bed for the past two weeks but her death came unexpectedly. She was born in Murphy, N. C., and lived there until about 25 years ago when she came to Camilla for a visit and met and married Hill A. Shiver. She was the former Della Azalee Lovingood. Mrs. Shiver was 49 years of age when death came. She was a member of the Baptist church, devoted wife and loving mother of her and her husband's only child, Henry Hill Shiver, who is serving in the U. S. Navy and is at present stationed in the Philippine Islands. She took an active part in the community life, along with her husband, until her health began to fail. Besides her husband and only son, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Emma Johnson, who lives in Washington State; three half brothers, Dent, Drewry and Ben Lovingood, all of Murphy, N. C. Sympathy of numerous warm friends throughout the county is extended the family in their bereavement.
