Albany, Georgia. Robert Lee Pitts, 66, local grocery man, died at Phoebe Putney Hospital Monday morning, 15 Oct 1945, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Minnie Lee Bouchelle of Maxeys, Georgia, and three children: two daughters, Mrs. S. B. Luckey and Miss Mildred Pitts, and one son, Cecil Pitts, all of Albany; one brother, Luther L. Pitts of Williamson. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Albany Undertaking Company, Tuesday, 16 Oct 1945, at 3:00 PM with Dr. Leonard Stephens, pastor of the First Baptist Church conducting. Mr. Pitts was a member of the First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be I. M. Bradford, C. P. Hubble, W. B. Stripling, J. L. Flowers, and R. R. Arthur. Interment will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
