The Camilla Enterprise newspaper in Camilla (Mitchell), Ga. Miss Winnie Luckey, aged and well known Mitchell county woman, died Thursday night of last week, March 20, at the home of her nephew, Mr. A. L. Luckey Sr., near Cotton following a short illness. Funeral services took place Friday afternoon at three-thirty o'clock at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. S.O. Thomas, and attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. Interment was in the cemetery near the church. The pallbearers were Milward Eubanks, Jerome Palmer, Theodore Palmer, Norwood Eubanks of Camilla and C.B. Luckey and A.B. Palmer of Pelham. Member of a prominent pioneer family of Mitchell county, Miss Luckey was born and reared in this county and was 84 years of age when death came to her. She was a member of Lake Pleasant Baptist Church. For the past several years she had made her home with her nieces and nephews and for the last year had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Luckey.
