Camilla, Georgia. Brady C. Williams, 67, died at his home east of Camilla Sunday, 1 Jan 1950, at 10:00 AM. New of his death brought sadness to numerous friends throughout the county and section. He had been confined to his home for the past year or so after having a paralytic stroke. Funeral services took place Monday, 2 Jan 1950, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, of which he had been a long time member and had worshiped there since childhood. The Rev Charles Duncan and the Rev T. J. Rigsby conducted the services and there was a large assemblage of friends present. Many beautiful flowers gave further testimony of love and thoughtfulness of his friends. Interment was in the cemetery beside the church. Pallbearers, nephews of Mr. Williams, were Tom Palmer, Ed Palmer, James Jones, W. H. Peacock, Lee Turner, Marvin Wilson and Rudy Rigsby. Brad Williams was born in this county 17 Jul 1882 at the old Williams home place where his parents, the late Wilburn and Elizabeth Towes Williams, reared a large family. He was happily married. 14 Dec 1904, to Miss Iola Palmer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Palmer. Unusually genial and friendly of nature, generous and kind, Mr. Williams never lacked for friends or high esteem of those about him. surviving are his wife and the following children; Miss Nina Bell Williams of Camilla, Miss Wilma Williams of Warner Robins, Mrs. Brantley West and Mrs. Woodrow Ayers of Orlando, Fla., Julius and Ernest Williams of Camilla, Mr. Bill Williams of Sumter, S. C., M.SGT. Burnett Williams of Warner Robins and Ray Williams of Albany. His only surviving brother is George P. Williams and his sisters are Mrs. Elias Faircloth, Mrs. Sara Palmer both of Camilla and Mrs. Ada Peacock of Perry, Fla.
