Obituary of Dorothy Fitzgerald Jordan 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 28 Jun 1957.  


Mrs. Bernie L. Jordan, 43, passed away at Mitchell County Hospital 
Saturday, 22 Jun 1957, shortly after being stricken ill while at work. Funeral services 
were held at 4:00 PM at the Bramlett Funeral Home, with Rev Louis M. Spivey and Rev 
P. J. Keadle officiating.  Interment was in Oakview cemetery.  Pall bearers were Charles 
Mathews, Hartley Palmer, Tom Hays, Clarence Rigsby, T. L. Kirbo and W. W. Kirbo.  
Mrs. Jordan, the former Miss Dorothy Fitzgerald, was born and reared in Camilla.  She 
was the daughter of Mrs. Grace Griner Fitzgerald and the late Edgar Fitzgerald.  She was 
co-owner and operator of Jordan's Restaurant.  She was a member of the First Baptist 
Church of Camilla. Survivors in addition to her husband, include her mother, Mrs. Grace 
Fitzgerald of Camilla; a brother, T. H. Fitzgerald of Camilla; and a sister, Mrs. G. C. 
Mroczkowski of West Palm Beach, Fla.
