Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services for Mrs. Tom Luckey, 64, were held at 3:00 PM Sunday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Duncan and the Rev. N.H. Williams officiating. A quartet composed of Mr and Mrs Wayne Robertson, Mrs H.H. Keadle and Mr. Earl Singletary, soloist, Mrs. Delton Harden, and organist Mrs W.A. Smith, Jr., rendered comforting funeral music. Interment was in Oakview Cemetery. Named as honorary pallbearers were: W.C. Adams, E.J. Vann, Jr., Byron Baggs, Jr., A.R. Roles, Dan Royal, A.R. Royal, Ellis Shiver, W.F. Cullens, P.C. Cullens, W.W. Brooks, John C. Butler, Grover Jones, Frank Twitty, and Robert Culpepper. Named as active pallbearers were: Shelly Jones, Dr. Earl Strickland, Julian Rivers, T.B. Twitty, Jr., Jerome Palmer, John Maples, Frank Palmer and Charles Kolbie. Active in church and business circles until ill health forced her retirement. Mrs. Luckey was the former Ether Lee Hart. She was born and reared here and her parents, the late Simon and Georgia Shiver Hart, were pioneer citizens. Owner and operator of Luckey Dry Cleaners, Mrs. Luckey died Friday afternoon at her home following an illness of two years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camilla. Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Ivan Loomis of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. J.O. Willis of Moultrie, Ga., and Mrs. Tom Reynolds of Camilla; two sons, Ottis Luckey of Camilla and S.B. Luckey of Albany, Ga., four sisters; Miss Beatrice Hart and Mrs. J.C. Crosby Sr. of Camilla, Mrs. W.B. Sloan of Pelham and Mrs. Adell Murphy of Coolidge; two brothers; Byron and Dewey Hart of Camilla, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. All of the family were present except one granddaughter, Mrs. E.J. Friesen of Port Lyantey, French Morroco, North Africa, who had just returned to her home after a two week visit with her grandmother.
