Albany, Georgia. Mrs. Ida P. Oliver, 82, of 914 North Jefferson Street, died Tuesday, 29 Oct 1957 in Phoebe Putney Hospital after a week's illness. Mrs. Oliver had made her home in Albany for the past 66 years. Her husband was the late Thomas E. Oliver who died 25 Feb 1931. Mrs. Oliver was the former Miss Ida Pickron and was born 17 Nov 1874 near Pelham. Her parents were the late Jacob and Mary Glausier Pickron. Mrs. Oliver was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons; A. C. Oliver of Miami, Fla, Wallace Oliver of Valdosta, Joe Oliver of Philadelphia, Penn, and Edwin Oliver of Knoxville, Tenn; four daughters, Mrs. Nathan Good of Greenville, Tenn, Mrs. A. M. Raffield of Albany, and Mrs. S. B. Crawford and Mrs. Paul Hope, both of Knoxville; one sister, Mrs. M. A. Bryant of Elm City, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by Leonard A. Stephens, pastor, assisted by Dr. C. R. Pittard, pastor of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Internment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J. E. Aultman, W. E. Hutchings Jr., Frank Coleman Sr., Vernon Middleton, R. T. Tyler, Roy Warren Sr., Paul Jones and John Davis. Honorary escort will include Yank Huston, M. M. Wiggins Sr., Dave Dekle, A. W. Anderson, H. T. McIntosh, Dr. H. M. McKemie, Franklin Coleman Jr., D. L. Jones, E. H. Heidt Sr., W. A. Rachals, W. V. Kimbrell Sr., Dick Cherry, J. C. Findley, P. A. Seigler, Jack B. Reynolds, and Herman Lanier of Bainbridge.
