Albany, Georgia. J. B. SHIVER FUNERAL TODAY dates January 14 - January 16, 1958: Funeral services for Jerry B. Shiver, who died Tuesday, were held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Dr. A. L. Phillips and the Rev. Roger Bass officiating. Interment was to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Camilla. Pallbearers were Leonard Paulk; Marvin Rush; Tyson Paulk; Bob Rush; Hebert Paulk; and Roger Paulk. Honorary pallbearers included Sheldon Bender; Jack Holland; Dan Moseley; Albert W. Lawrence; D. C. Campbell, Sr.; Thomas E. Cox; W. H. Harden; Will Wadsworth; Avon Robson; J. R. Bierman; H. G. Wilson; J. L. Whitley; J. W. Hall. Mr. Shiver was a native of Brooks County. He had lived in Albany for 25 years and was employed for that length of time by the Flint River Cotton Mills. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene Sims Shiver; three sons, Earnest Lee Shiver of Albany; Isaac Shiver of Columbus; and Rudolph Shiver of Albany; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Woodall and Barnette Funeral Directors, were in charge of arrangements.
