Funeral services for Robert Tillman Cook, 84, were held Sunday at 6:00 PM in the Bramlett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. T. O. Morris, Valdosta, officiated and interment was in Oakview Cemetery. Mr. Cook was born in Dougherty County but moved to Mitchell County when he was a child. He had lived here until about nine years ago when he went to make his home in Sylvester with a son. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Before his retirement from farming, his home was in the Pine Cliff Community, where he was active in community affairs. He died Friday night in Albany after several days illness. Survivors include two sons, J. R. Cook, Sylvester, and W. E. Cook, Albany; a sister, Mrs. Will Poitevint, Vada; two brothers, John Cook, Pelham and Grady Cook, Moultrie; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
