Palmer as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 28 Feb 1969. Camilla, Georgia. The funeral for Charlie P. Palmer, 81, Rt. 1 of Meigs, Georgia who died Wednesday 26 February 1969 at Mitchell County Hospital, after a lengthy illness, will be held today, 28 February at 3:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev Fred Bulloch and Rev J.E. Green officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery. Born in Mitchell County 24 Oct 1887 he was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, Meigs Masonic Lodge, Meigs Eastern Star Chapter and was a veteran of World War I. He was married 23 April 1919 to the former Bertha Taylor who survives. Other survivors are son Mac Palmer Sr. of Meigs, and a daughter, Mrs E.P. Fields, Jr. of Meigs. Four brothers; Roy of Cotton, Ben Hill, Albert and Julius of Camilla. Sisters; Mrs. H.H. Yates of Pelham , Mrs. Irene Maples and Miss Ver Palmer of Camilla.
