Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services were held Monday, 22 Jun 1964, at 5:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for Mrs. Dolly Shiver Griner, age 77, who died Saturday 20 Jun 1964 at her home in Cotton community. The Rev Jasper Sadler, assisted by the Rev Vinson White and the Rev Max Thurman officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Griner was one of Mitchell County's best known women. She served for a long number of years as Camilla Enterprise correspondent from her home section of Cotton. Mrs. Griner was the wife of the late Will Griner and the daughter of the late Felton S. and Debbie D. Shiver. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the William E. Flint chapter, OES. She was a native of Worth County. Survivors include a son, John F. Griner of Washington, D. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Williams of Cotton and Mrs. Durwood Harden of Camilla; a brother , Ellis Shiver of Camilla; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
