Camilla, Georgia. Ernest L. Shiver, age 61, who lived at 5615 Collins Avenue in Albany, died Thursday afternoon, 23 Jan 1964, in Phoebe Putney Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, 25 Jan 1964, at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church by Rev Roger E. Bass. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Shiver had been a resident for the last thirty-one years. He was born in Mitchell County 26 Aug 1902, son of the late Irene Sims and Jerry B. Shiver. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Lee Ola Busby of Pelham; three daughters, Mrs. Charles T. Clark, Mrs. Elzie L. Hancock and Mrs. James C. Sheperd, all of Albany; three sons, Lt. Col Morris E. Shiver of Blytheville Air Force Base, Arkansas, Ernest A. Shiver of Meigs and Billy J. Shiver of Tallahassee, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; a brother, Rudolph Shiver of Smithville, and an aunt, Mrs. J. M. Dillard of Albany.
