Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services for Isaac Alton Palmer, 65, Camilla, who died Tuesday, 16 Sep 1969 at Mitchell County Hospital after a lengthy illness, will be held today, Wednesday, 17 Sep 1969, at the First Baptist Church of Camilla. Rev Edgar T. Davis will officiate with interment in Oakview Cemetery. Born in Mitchell County, 21 Nov 1903, he was a son of the late James L. and Mary Ella Baker Palmer. He served with the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Camilla First Baptist Church where he was a teacher for the Barraca Sunday School Class for a number of years. He was a member of Camilla Lodge 128 F.& A. M. and a retired farmer. He was married to the former Gladys Ivey who survives him. Other survivors include one daughter, Mary Beth Palmer of Camilla; one brother, Donovan Palmer of Camilla; six sisters, Mrs J. L. Gray, Mrs. Pansy Archibald, and Mrs. A. J. Osteen, all of Camilla, Mrs. Ermine Branch of Albany, Mrs. J. T. Alexander of Jeffersonville, Ga., and Mrs. Clyde Dewitt of Warm Springs, Ga. Parker Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
