Camilla, Georgia. Mr. James Washington Glenn, age 55, of Rt. 1 Meigs, Ga., passed away Sunday, 25 Feb 1968, at Mitchell County Hospital after a brief illness. He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, a member of the Pelham Masonic Lodge 312, and a member of the Pelham Royal Arch Chapter 11. He was born in Mitchell County 11 Oct 1912, son of the late Joseph Eldridge and Mary Ella Martin Glenn. On 12 Dec 1941, he married the former Sara Hinson. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Joseph Washington Glenn and Timothy Hill Glenn, both of Meigs; three daughters, Mrs. David Thomas Johnson Jr., of Houston, Tx.; Miss Karen Hinson Glenn of Atlanta, and Mrs. Malcolm Murrah Palmer Jr. of Ft. Bragg, N. C.; one daughter, Miss Catherine Irene Glenn of Bainbridge; one brother, John Lawrence Glenn of Meigs; seven sisters, Mrs. Ida Cobb of Titusville, Fla., Mrs. Sadie Curles of Pelham, Mrs. Ann Banks of Albany, Mrs. Lillian McClure of Pompano Beach, Fla., Mrs. Beth Trulock of Meigs, and Mrs. Inez Beasley of Pelham; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, 26 Feb 1968, at 3:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church. Interment was held in the Pelham Cemetery. Rev Fred Bulloch officiated. Michael and Richard Jones, Sonny and Joe Glenn, Perceville Wesley Curles Jr., Billy Trulock, Tony Beasely and John Glenn served as pallbearers. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham had charge of arrangements.
