Bainbridge, Georgia. Funeral Services for Landon Dock Griner of Rt. 1 Brinson were conducted Saturday, 21 January 1967 at 3:00 PM with Rev E. R. Cloud, Rev Lee Wilson and Rev W. K. Thompson officiating. Interment was in Bethany Baptist Cemetery with Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Griner, 75, died at his home on 17 January after an illness of four years. A retired farmer, Mr. Griner had lived most of his life in Decatur County. He was born in Colquitt County. The deceased was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Inez Wilson Griner of Brinson; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Skipper of Brinson, Mrs. Betty Chewning of Charleston, S. C. and Mrs. Grace Hatton of Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Odell Griner of Brinson and Landon O. Griner Jr. of West Bainbridge; nineteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren one sister, Mrs. Leesia Hatcher of Albany and one brother, John Griner of Gainesville, Florida. Active pallbearers were: S. E. Griner, Judge Griner, James Griner, Pate Griner Wiler Griner and Howard Griner. Honorary pall bearers were: Byron Heard, Eustice Rich, Willis Yates, Luke Johnson, Madison Donaldson, William Smith, W. H. McCurdy, Ralph King, Rembert Smith and H. C. Barber.
