Obtained Laura's name from a folder in the Albany Library labeled Shiver Clippings, Death, Birth, Wedding, Parties. Laura's obituary was in this folder. Obituary dated Thursday, November 2, 1967. LAST RITES HELD FOR MISS SHIVER Miss Laura Viola Shiver of Morven, Georgia died at the age of 80 on October 28th in a Hahira Nursing Home. A native of Brooks County, Miss Shiver was born on March 6, 1887, the daughter of Thomas Virgil Shiver and Mattie Walker Shiver. She was a member of the Morven Church of Christ and a member of a pioneer Brooks County family. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. G. B. Becton of Frostproof, Florida and Mrs. E. H. Hall of Morven. The funeral was held at the Welcome Hill Church of Christ at 3 p.m. October 30th. Burial followed in the Welcome Hill Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Everett J. Hall; E. Harold Hall; Webster Shiver; Joseph Shiver; Roy Roundtree; and Johnny Becton. Maxwell funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Birth, Death, Burial site, parents and two sisters' names were obtained from this obituary. According to this obituary she never married.
