Camilla.Georgia. Mrs. Albert N. Thornton died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Keadle Tuesday 2 Jan 1962, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held at Dellwood Missionary Baptist Church at 2:30 PM Wednesday. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the Rev. E.R. Cloud and Rev Edgar Davis officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers. She was born in Mitchell County 22 January 1880, daughter of the late William H. and Susan Davis Luckey. she was a member of the Dellwood Church. Survivors include her husband Albert N. Thornton, another daughter, Mrs. C.E. Maples of Bridgeboro, Georgia; five sons, Albert F. Thornton and James W. Thornton of Miami, Fla.; Brantley H. Thornton of Pelham, Ga.; Edwin D. Thornton of Albany, Ga.; and W. Fred Thornton of Camilla; two sisters; Mrs. H. B. Burnham of Brinson, Ga.; and Mrs. Lily M. Luckey of Ochlocknee, 32 grandchildren and a number if great grandchildren. Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
