Albany, Georgia. Miles Mansfield, 81 died early today, 31 Mar 1964, in a Middle Georgia hospital following an illness. A former resident of Lee County, Mr. Mansfield had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. W. P. Henry of Pelham since 1959. He was born 29 Aug 1882 in Mitchell county, son of the late Henry J. and Elizabeth Crosby Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 Apr 1964, at 3:30 PM in grave side ceremony at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchell County, the Rev W. F. Dyches officiating. At the time of his death he was a retired farmer. Survivors include five daughters, Miss Eva Mansfield of Leavenworth, Kansas, Mrs. W. P. Henry of Pelham; Mrs. E. L. Mosteller of Abita Springs, Louisiana, Mrs. W. M. Harmon of Leesburg and Mrs. Cal Hall of Newton; four sons, E. L. and P. H. Mansfield of Albany, James Mansfield of Miami, Fla., and R. D. Mansfield of Buena Park, Ca.; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will be at the home of his son, E. L. Mansfield, 311 Roosevelt Ave. in Albany.
