Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Shirah Adams, 89, were held at 2:30 PM Monday, 13 Jan 1964, from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the Rev Edgar T. Davis and the Rev Burnett Jordan officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Adams died Sunday, 12 Jan 1964, at the home of a son, Orr Adams in Camilla after an extended illness. She was born in Mitchell County 21 Apr 1872, daughter of the late A. G. and Melvinia Watson Shirah. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to the son with whom she resided, two sons, D. Q. Adams of Auburndale, Fla., and Eugene Adams of Camilla; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Fowler of Pelham; 16 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
