Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Thursday, 2 Aug 1962, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for Mrs. Sarah Anne Williams Palmer, widow of the late William C. Palmer, who died Tuesday, 31 Jul 1962, night at Mitchell County Hospital at the age of 87 after a stay there of three weeks. Rev Alvin Bush, pastor, and Rev Wallace Little of Meigs, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Bramlett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers will be W. C. Palmer, A. C. Palmer Jr., W. J. Hurst, J. C. Hurst Jr., Maurice Palmer, Lloyd Palmer Foret, Sidney Palmer, Peyton Ott, Wood Marshall, Harry DeVenny and Bennett Shelton. Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. Marcel J. Foret, John Powell, A. B. Chambliss, Abe Bahooshian, Harmon Adams, L. J. Powell, E. C. Richter and Ashmore Wilder. Mrs. Palmer was born 27 Jan 1875, in Perry, Florida, daughter of the late Wilburn and Elizabeth Towles Williams. She had lived in Mitchell County for the past 68 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Marcel J. Foret of Washington, D. C.; three sons, Bruce Palmer of Pelham, Allie Palmer of New Orleans, La., Woodrow Palmer of Pompano, Fla., two sisters, Mrs. Allie Faircloth of Camilla and Mrs. Ada Peacock of Perry, Fla. Twelve grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren also survive.
