Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM this afternoon, Thursday, 5 Nov 1964, at the First Baptist church of Camilla for Theodore Oswell Palmer, fifty-five year old Camilla grocery man who died of a heart attack yesterday, 4 Nov 1964, shortly before noon. Interment will follow in Sale City. Mr. Palmer was mowing the lawn at his residence in Morningside when the fatal attack came. Two Camilla women driving by at the time saw and called for aid but he was dead on arrival at the hospital. Mr. Palmer was born and reared in Mitchell County, son of Mrs. T. H. Palmer and the late Mr. Palmer. He began in the grocery business with the old Branan Grocery located where Clary's 5 & 10 now stands. For the past fifteen years he has owned his own grocery. In 1930 he was happily married to the former Reba Davidson of Sale City. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, one son, Harry Palmer of Camilla; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Keadle Jr. of Albany; his mother, Mrs. T. H. Palmer of Camilla; one grandchild, Paul Keadle III; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Johnson of Camilla and Mrs. Stanley Shiver of Quitman; five brothers, Euitt P. Palmer and Jack Palmer of Camilla, Z. S. (Toby) Palmer of Cuthbert, Max Palmer of Bainbridge and Billy R. Palmer.
