The funeral for Watson Faircloth, 62,, of Baconton, who died Tuesday 6 May 1969 of an apparent heart attack at his home, will be held today, Friday 9 May 1969, at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Rev N. B. Jordan will officiate with interment in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers include, Carl Hatcher, Travis Thompson, Marvin Edwards, Henry J. Rackley, Earl Layfield, Kenneth Beck, Frank Duncan and Lathaniel Layfield. A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of the late George W. and Luara Shirah Faircloth. He was a farmer and landowner in the Lester Community and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of Camilla Lodge No. 128, F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Layfield Faircloth of Baconton; four sons, Bobby Joe Faircloth of Hartford, Conn., G. W. and Tonny Faircloth of Baconton, and Ralph Faircloth of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Roger Beck of Milledgeville and Miss Dale Faircloth of Baconton; two brothers, J. R. and W. G. Faircloth of Moultrie; two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Goodson of Tallahassee, Fla. and Mrs. J. E. Brown of Chattanooga, Tenn.; thirteen grandchildren. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
