O. Stevens as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 9 May 1969. Camilla, Georgia. W. O. Stevens, 64, resident of Sale City, died early Tuesday, 6 May 1969, of a heart attack in Vereen Memorial Hospital in Moultrie. Death was unexpected. funeral services were held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, 7 May 1969, at the graveside in the Sale City Cemetery. Mr. Stevens, son of the late Dr. Arthur T. Stevens and Myrtle Jolley Stevens of Sale City, was born on 17 Apr 1905 at Sale City. Death occurred at 3:30 AM Tuesday. Mr. Stevens was a Baptist. He spent most of his life as a resident of Moultrie and Sale City. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Louise Woolard of Moultrie; two sons, Jerry Stevens of Palatka, Fla. and Gene Stevens of Rochester, N. Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Plair Jr. of Donalsonville, Ga; two brothers, J. C. Stevens of Macon and E. M. Stevens of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Douglas Burnett of Tampa, Fla; and four grandsons, Craig Stevens, Anthony Stevens, Jeff Plair and Richard Plair.
