The funeral for Mrs. Audrey Luckey Holley, 68, Pelham, who died Friday, 25 Dec 1970, at 1:30 PM at Braswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Bill Perry and the Rev Carroll Crosby officiated. Interment was in Pelham Cemetery. Pall bearers were Books Curles, J. W. Raiford, Steve Godwin, Allan Eubanks, Marcus Collins, and John Collins Jr. Born in Mitchell County, 8 Sep 1902, she was a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Elizabeth Griner Luckey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She served as WAAC in World War II. She was a retired nurse. Her husband was the late Josh Holley. Survivors include one stepson, J. Clifton Holley of Jacksonville, Fla; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dewey Hays and Mrs. Jack McGalliard of Pelham; three sisters, Mrs. J. T. Watts of Lake City, Fla., Mrs. Mary Alice Lee and Mrs. J. M. Hudgins of Pelham; and three step-grandchildren. Braswell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
