Eighty-four year old Daniel Palmer Sr. died quietly in his sleep early Sunday, 18 Jan 1976, morning, his wife finding him dead as she went to call him for breakfast. Funeral services were held Monday, 19 Jan 1976, at 3:)) PM at the First Baptist Church of Camilla where he held membership for a number of years. His pastor, Rev Edgar T. Davis Jr. and Rev Sanford Brown, pastor of Camilla United Methodist Church, officiated at the services and interment followed in Oakview Cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wyolene Hartley Palmer; three sons, Hartley, Joe Morris and Dan Palmer Jr., all of Camilla; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Bostick of Camilla and Mrs. Dick Taylor of Albany and Mrs. Frank Bivins of Moultrie; four sisters, Mrs. Fort Barker, Mrs. Iverson Bennett and Mrs. E. K. Harrell Sr., all of Camilla, and Miss Louise Palmer of Albany. Eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
