Camilla, Georgia. The funeral for Grover Cleveland, 77, Rt. 3, Pelham, who died Friday 23 Jan 1970 after an illness of three weeks, was held Sunday, 25 Jan 1970 at Mispah Primitive Baptist church. Elder Earl Childs officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were O'Neal Palmer, Lester Scarborough, Maril Palmer, William Huey, Glenn Underwood and Junior Daughtry. Born in Grady County, 7 Feb 1892, he was a member of Mispah Primitive Baptist Church and a farmer. he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera Daughtry Palmer of Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Howell of Pelham and Mrs. O'Neal Cumbie of Climax; three brothers, Johnny, Cuy, and Hansel Palmer, all of Pelham; three sisters, Mrs. Lelia Sellars of Cairo, Mrs. Maude Smith and Mrs. Daisy Gandy of Pelham; eight grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Ivey Funeral Home of Bainbridge was in charge of arrangements.
