Obituary of Henry Herman Yates 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 26 Jun 1970.  

Camilla, Georgia.  Funeral services for Mr. Henry Herman Yates, 90, Pelham, 
who died Thursday. 25 Jun 1970 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, after a lengthy 
illness will be held today, 26 Jun 1970 at Braswell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will 
be in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev William Perry officiating.  Born in Decatur County, 
Georgia, 10 Nov 1879, he was a son of the late Henry Melton and Harriet Olivent Yates,  
He was a retired carpenter and farmer.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lula Palmer 
Yates of Pelham; two sons, Vaughn L. Yates and Maitland Yates Sr. of Pelham; one 
daughter, Mrs. Becton Isler of Mobile, Ala.; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren 
and two half sisters. Braswell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
