Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services were held Saturday, 11 Apr 1970, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 3:00 PM for Mrs. Iola Palmer Williams, age 83, and widow of the late Brady C. Williams. Mrs. Williams died Friday, 10 Apr 1970, en route to Mitchell County Hospital of an apparent heart attack. The pastor, Thomas Thorne, and a former pastor, Rev N. B. Jordan, officiated at the services. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were A. T. Rigsby Jr., Mike Smith, James Edwards, Kenneth Williams, Kay Williams and Jimmy Williams. A native of Mitchell County she was the daughter of the late George and Katie Ford Palmer. She was born 1 Jul 1886. Her husband was the late Brady C. Williams. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons; Julius, Ernest and Bill Williams, all of Camilla, Burnett Williams of Baker, Fla., and Samuel Williams of Ochlawaha, Fla.; four daughters, Miss Nina Bell Williams of Camilla, Mrs. Willie J. Mills of Dublin, Mrs. Brantley West and Mrs. Woodrow Ayers of Orlando, Fla. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Johnnie L. Eubanks of Sale city, Mrs. Frank Jones and Mrs. Oscar Davis of Camilla.
