Phillips as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 1 Jan 1975. Camilla, Georgia. Funeral service of John C. (Pinder) Phillips, 71, of Camilla, who died early Friday, 27 Dec 1974, morning at the Mitchell County Hospital was conducted Sunday, December 29, 1974 at 3:00 P. M. at the Parker Bramlett Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. E. T. Davis and Rev Jasper Sadler officiated with interment in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Dwight Redmond, Steve Redmond, Sonny Redmond, Eddie White, Kleman White, Don White, Brim White, Phil White, Bobby White and Larry Redmond. Mr. Phillips was a native of Mitchell County, He was born July 23, 1903. He was the son of the late John H. Phillips and Sadie Holton Phillips. He was a retired employee of the State Highway Department and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vador Phillips of Camilla, one son, John C. Phillips, Jr. of Brandon, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Marshall of Camilla and Mrs. Louella Slade of Tallahassee, Fla. Three grandchildren, Susan Phillips, Tracy Phillips and Kimberly Phillips, also of Brandon, Fla. Parker Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
