Camilla, Georgia. James Iverson Griner of Sale City died early Thursday 1 Jan 1970 at Vereen Memorial Hospital in Moultrie. He was 69. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, 3 Jan 1970 at the Sale City Baptist Church with burial following in the Hartsfield Cemetery. The Rev Thomas Thorn officiated. The body will remain at a local funeral home until placed in the church one hour before the funeral service. Mr. Griner was born in Colquitt County on 1 Nov 1900. He was the son of the late Tom and Susie Taylor Griner of Colquitt county. He was a retired farmer. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Mattie Lou Causey of Colquitt County; two daughters, Mrs Helen Ware of Orlando, Fla. and Mrs. Betty Jean Land of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Bonus Bennett of Sale City; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
