Camilla, Georgia. Leland Sharp, 72 years of age of Camilla, passed away Wednesday night, 24 Mar 1976, at the Mitchell County Hospital of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Sharp was a native of Mitchell County, born 17 Mar 1904. Mr. Sharp was a farmer, and a member of the Hopeful Baptist Church. He was a son of the late David Sharp and Dicie Mulford Sharp. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Shiver Sharp of Camilla; three daughters, Mrs. Ramona Roper of Dallas, Ga., Mrs. Shelby Haygood of Doraville, Ga. and Mrs. Peggy Hampton of Pelham; a step-daughter, Mrs. Christine Palmer of Camilla; one step-son, Neil Shiver of Camilla; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Jones of Camilla, Mrs. Lila Everson of Albany; three brothers, J. M. Sharp of Dothan, Ala., W. L. Sharp and Elbert Sharp of Camilla; one step-sister, Mrs Jake Marshall of Camilla. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements.
