Camilla, Georgia. The funeral of Mrs. Lillie Kennedy Mansfield, 74, Newton, was held Tuesday, 13 January 1970, at 11:00 AM at Newton Baptist Church. Rev O. A. Collins officiated. Interment was in Oakview Cemetery. Active pall bearers were David Taylor, Larry Taylor, O. V. Taylor Jr., Carroll Whitcomb, Harry Musgrove and Maurice Kennedy. Mrs. Mansfield died Sunday, 11 January 1970, at her home after having suffered a heart attack. She was born 14 May 1895, in Fayetteville, N. C., a daughter of the late Dougald McDonald Kennedy and Daisey Moore Kennedy. She had made her home in Baker County the past thirty years. She and her late husband, Morgan Mansfield, operated Mansfield Grocery just outside Newton. Survivors include, two sisters, Mrs. Mary K. Whitcomb of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. J. D. Gardner of Camilla; one son, David K. Mansfield of Newton; one step-daughter, Carrie B. Harris of Albany. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
