Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services for Mr. Tommie Palmer, age 61, of Route 1, Pelham, who died 10 Jan 1975 at Palmyra Park Hospital in Albany after a brief illness was held Saturday 11 Jan 1975 at 3:00 PM at the Braswell Funeral Home chapel. The Rev Wayne Meadows and Rev R. E. Blewett officiated with the interment in the Mispah Cemetery. Mr. Palmer was born in Mitchell County, 22 Oct 1913. He was married 1 July 1969 to the former Virginia Lee. He was an employee of the Hand Trading Company. Active pallbearers were Neal Palmer, Lee Grant, Carl Taylor, Terry Palmer, Neadom Palmer and Don Taylor. He was a son of the late M. L. Palmer and Lucy Cora Ott Palmer. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Palmer of Pelham, one son, Robert Wilson of Pelham, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Brixhoff of Bristol, Fla. and Mrs. Linda Landry of Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers, Milton Palmer, Eulamos Palmer and Hubert Palmer, all of Pelham, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Marchant and Mrs. H. T. Trammell also of Pelham. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements.
