Thurmond Rigsby Sr. as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" date 7 May 1975. Camilla, Georgia. Funeral services for Mr. A. T. Rigsby Sr., 74 years of age, of Sale City, who died early Monday, 5 May 1975, at Palmyra Park Hospital in Albany will be conducted today, 7 May 1975, at 4:00 PM from the Pebble City Baptist Church. The Rev Phillip Newton and Rev W. F. Dyches will officiate with interment in the Pebble City Cemetery. Mr. Rigsby was a native of Mitchell County, born 24 May 1900. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Pebble City Baptist Church, a deacon and treasurer of the church for a number of years and he also served on the Mitchell County Board of Education for 16 years. He was the son of the late James T. and Alice Burnette Rigsby. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bess Faircloth of Sale City, three sons, Rudy, Randy and A. T. Jr., all of Sale City; four sisters, Mrs Cora Thomas of Pelham, Mrs. Irene Hatcher of Doerun, Mrs. Ruby Sullivan of Camilla and Mrs. Beasley of Andalusia, Ala.; two brothers, Judson Rigsby of Sale City and A. J. Rigsby of Lumber City, Ga. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
