Obituary of Dora Smith Palmer 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 6 Jan 1989.  

Camilla, Gorgia.  
Dora Smith Palmer, 86, of Camilla, died Tuesday 3 Jan 1989 at 
the Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, 5 Jan at 
Braswell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev Harris Malcom officiating.  Burial was in 
Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Mrs. Palmer was born in Mitchell County 25 Sep 1902, the 
daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Frances Stephens Smith.  She was a homemaker 
and the wife of Tenneth G. Palmer.  She was a member of the New Hope Primitive 
Baptist Church.  Survivors include three sons, Daniel Palmer of Camilla, Roy Palmer of 
Sylvester and Gene Palmer of Americus; one brother, James Robert Smith of Pelham; 
four sisters, Elizabeth Maples of Camilla, Bertha Robinson of Thomasville, Francis 
Harris of John's Island, SC, and Mrs Coke L Barr of Jacksonville, Fla.
