Obituary of Evelyn Rackley Eidson 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 8 Nov 1989.  


Evelyn Rackley Eidson, 81, of Camilla, died Thursday, 2 Nov 1989, at the 
Mitchell County Hospital.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, 4 Nov 1989, 
at Camilla first Baptist Church with the Rev Harris Malcom and the Rev E. T. Davis 
officiating.  Burial was at Oakview Cemetery.  Mrs. Eidson was born 28 Jan 1908, in 
Mitchell County, the daughter of Elias Rackley and Hortense Goolsby.  She was the 
widow of the late Henry D. Eidson.  Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Stewart of 
Jacksonville, Fla., and Elouise Mooney of Winter Park, Fla.; and several nieces and 
nephews.  Pallbearers were Lynn Autry, Grover Cleveland, Robert Rackley Sr., George 
Temples, James Wiley Palmer Jr., and Edwin Rackley Jr.  Parker Funeral Home had 
charge of arrangements.
