Camilla, Georgia. The funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Shiver Hatcher, 83, of Camilla, who died Sunday Dec. 20, 1981 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, was held Tuesday, Dec 22, 1981 in the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Adkinson and Rev. E. L. Lewis officiating. Interment was in Oakview Cemetery. A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Shiver. Her husband was the late Eugene Hatcher. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Martin, Mrs. Ruth Martin, Mrs. Flora McFadden, all of Albany, Mrs. Toy Hill Williams, Mrs. Opal Brooks, both of Camilla, and Mrs. Grace Turner of Mobile, Ala.; four sons, Leo Hatcher, James A. Hatcher, Ray Hatcher, all of Camilla, and Gene Hatcher of Albany; 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
