Obituary of Albert F. Thornton 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 16 May 1990 and compiled into 
the book "Obituaries of the Camilla Enterprise"--Page 108.  

Albany, Georgia. 1994.  
Albert R. (Buddy) Thornton, 88, of Defuniak Springs, 
Fla., died Friday May 11, 1990 at Doctors Hospital in Bonifay, Fla.  Grave side services 
were held at 3:00 PM, 14 May, at Oakview Cemetery with the Rev. Owen Smith 
officiating.  Thornton was born 7 Dec 1901, in Mitchell County, the sone of Albert and 
Mary Etta Luckey Thornton.  He was retired from Pan American Airlines.  He was a 
member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Defuniak Springs.  Survivors include his 
wife, Hensyelle Thompson Thornton of Defuniak springs; three daughters, Jackie Lou 
Malone, Ann Black of Defuniak Springs and Nancy Patricia Memken of Edmond, Ok.; a 
son, Richard Thornton of Largo, Fl.;  two sisters, Eunice Maples of Doerun, Ga. and 
Montine Keadle of Camilla, Ga.; a brother, Fred Thornton of Albany, Ga.; eight 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Parker Funeral Home had charge of 
arrangements.
