Wallace Herring, 62, of 2011 Robinhood Road died Tuesday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Kimbrell-Stern with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. A native of Worth County, Mr. Herring had lived in Albany for the past three years and was a retired agent with Special Enforcement of the Internal Revenue Service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Carol Nobles Herring of Albany; two daughters, Sherri Churney of Conyers and Erin Wormley of Suwanee; his mother and stepfather, Ruby and James Southwell of Albany; five sisters, Cheryl Brooks of Sylvester, Gail Watson of Valdosta, Gay Giddens of Worth County,Vickie Lewis of Albany and Debbie Garcia of Edison;four brothers, R.L. Herring of Albany, Larry Herring of Worth County, Austin Herring of Adel and Ronnie Herring of Lilburn;and four grandchildren.
