Albany, Georgia. Camilla - Inez Thornton, 83 (1916), of Albany died Tuesday at Palmyra Medical Centers in Albany. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday (Sept 3rd) at Dellwood Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Rouse Jr will officiate. A native of Mitchell County, Mrs. Thornton was a retired nurse and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was the widow of James Walter Thornton. Survivors include a daughter, Gail Edwards of Sylvester; a son, Steve Thornton of Marietta; five sisters, Ruby Floyd of Winter Haven, Fla.; Mary Martin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Eunice Chason of Cairo; Virginia Faircloth of Bainbridge; and Kathryn Sharp of Dothan, Ala.; a brother, James W. Darley Jr. of Dothan, Ala.; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m today at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
