Obituary of Julia Crosby Jones 
as written in  "Obituaries from The Camilla Enterprise" compiled 
by the Southwest Georgia Genealogical Society (SWGS). Page 218.  


Julia Crosby Jones, 73, of Baconton, Ga. died Friday, Jan 3, 1992, at Palmyra Park 
Hospital in Albany, Ga.  Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Sunday, 5 Jan at the 
Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Crosby in charge.  Burial was held in 
the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born 26 Dec 1918, the daughter of Wilburn 
B. and Mattie Carr Crosby.  She was the widow of the late George W. Jones. She was a 
member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Capps 
of Baconton, Ga.; three sons, George A. Jones and Nick Jones of Leesburg, Ga., and 
Jerry Jones of Baconton; two sisters, Azaolene Joiner of Thomasville, Ga., and Mrs. 
Shamiro Jones of Hinsonton, Ga., a brother, Will B. Crosby of Sale City, Ga.; and eight 
grandchildren.  Parker Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
