Obituary of Lucy Palmer Harrell 
as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 22 May 1991.  


Lucy Palmer Harrell, 86, of Camilla died Monday morning, 20 May 1991, at 
the Camilla Retirement Home.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, 21 May 
1991, at the Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev E. T. Davis and the Rev Harris 
Malcolm officiating.  Burial was at Oakview Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Kye Harrell, 
Mike Harrell, Smith Campbell, Scott Campbell, Andy Palmer, Joe Bostick Jr., Joe B. 
Adams Jr. and James Lee Adams Jr.  Mrs. Harrell was a native of Mitchell County, the 
daughter of the late James Hilliard Palmer and Laura Twitty.  She received her degree 
from the University of Georgia and retired from the Mitchell County School System in 
1964.  She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Camilla Garden 
Club.  She was a member of the Camilla First Baptist Church. Survivors are husband, 
Ernest K. Harrell of Camilla; a son, E. K. Harrell Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, 
Laura Ann Campbell of Atlanta; two sisters, Mattie Barker and Helen Bennett, both of 
Camilla; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Parker Funeral Home had 
charge of the arrangements.
