Page 261. Albany, Georgia. 1994. Leila Palmer Sellers, 95, of Albany, died Tuesday 8 Sep 1992 at Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany. Funeral services were held Thursday, 10 Sep at 3:00 PM. The Elder Max Childs officiated and the Rev. Tony Haefs of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany assisted. Burial was in the Mispah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Born 30 Sep 1896, in Mitchell County, Ga. she was the daughter of John Melton and Mattie Willis Palmer. She was a homemaker and member of the Mispah Primitive Baptist Church. She was married to the late Alto Sellers. Survivors include a daughter, Velma S. Cross of Albany; a son, Carroll Sellers of Pelham; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Carroll V. Sellers, John A. Sellars, Hewis Cross, Stacy Edwards, Palmer Smith, Merrilol Palmer, Louie Palmer and Lamar Palmer. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements.
