Obituary of Mamie Catheirne Shirah Palmer 
as written in "The Bainbridge Post Search Light" dated 1 Dec 1998.

Catherine S. Palmer 
[24 Sep 1923-28 Nov 1998].  Funeral Services for Catherine Shirah Palmer, 75, of 
Camilla were held Monday, 30 Nov 1998, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with the Rev 
Robert Simpson officiating.  Interment was in Hopeful Cemetery with Don Palmer, 
Danny Palmer, Barney Pollock, Charles Humphries, Gene Taylor and Shannon Williams 
serving as pallbearers.  Mrs. Palmer died 28 Nov 1998 in Archbold Memorial Hospital, 
Thomasville.  A native of Mitchell County, she was a homemaker, and was of the Free 
Will Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Charlie 
Palmer. Survivors include one daughter, Scarlett Sanders of Camilla; a son, Wayne 
Palmer, also of Camilla; a brother, Charles S. Shirah of Camilla; six grandchildren and 
seven great grandchildren. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla was in charge of 
arrangements.
