Page 146. Albany, Georgia. 1994. Milton "Mitt" Palmer, 80, of Pelham died Tuesday 22 Jan 1991, in the Mitchell County Hospital. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 PM 24 Jan at Braswell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W.F. Dyches, Sr., officiating, assisted by the Rev. Doug Mays of Arlington Methodist. Burial was in the Meigs, Ga. Cemetery. Palmer was born in the Mount Olive Community of Mitchell County on 22 Aug 1910, the son of Neadom Lee and Lucy Ott Palmer. He married Faye Palmer in 1934. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Fay Palmer Croycraft of Cleveland, Missouri in 1981. He was a retired farmer and salesman. He was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Fay Powell Palmer, three sons, Lee, Norris, and Neil Palmer, all of Pelham; a daughter, Deane Palmer Guice of Arlington; a brother, Hubert Lee Palmer of Pelham; a sister Vela Palmer Trammell of Pelham; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Nicky, Kelly, Stacy, Cory, and Kermit Palmer; Wes Humphries, Monty Guice, Merril Guice, Neil Palmer, Jr. and Davie Woods. Braswell Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
