Quincy, Fla.---The funeral service of Silas Willis Burnett, 77, of Quincy, who died Sunday, 18 Oct 1992, in Tallahassee, was to be conducted at 3:00 PM today at the graveside in Hillcrest Cemetery. A native of Mitchell County, Georgia, Mr. Burnett had resided in Albany Georgia before moving to Quincy 40 years ago. A retired buyer for Higdon Grocery Company, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 84, the 40 and Eight, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church of Quincy. Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Burnett of Quincy; a son, Gerald Willis Burnett of Hosford; a brother, Charles Burnett of Sylvester, Georgia; and two granddaughters. Memorials may be made to the Florida Youth Ranch Central Office, in care of Boys' Ranch, Boy's Ranch, Florida, 37060. Sasser-Morgan-McClellan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
