Page 226. Albany, Georgia. Vera Valda Daughtry Palmer, 93, of Pelham, Ga. died Sunday 16 Feb 1992 at the Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday 18 Feb at 3:00 PM at Mispah Primitive Baptist Church The Elder Max Childs officiated and burial was in the Mispah Cemetery. Born 2 Aug 1898 in Grady County, she was the daughter of Hardy Lee and Lou Gennie Eaton Daughtry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mispah Primitive Baptist Church. She was married to the late Cleveland Palmer. Survivors include two daughters, Myrtle Howell of Pelham, Ga., and Doris Cumbie of Climax; one brother, Fred Daughtry of Meigs; four sisters, Mattie Lou Belk of Pelham, Ameila Holley and Lucille Falor of Meigs, and Ella Jean Rogero of Largo, Fla; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements.
